## Offering leading home schooling programmes

Scotch Global offers families the opportunity to receive the support and experience of secondary teachers while still doing school from home. Our home schooling programmes are tailor made for personalised learning, where your child can grow both socially and academically, while building their independent learning skills.

 With all aspects of curriculum planning and delivery we guarantee your child will feel happy, safe, and supported in their learning journey. We are dedicated to embracing your child’s unique strengths, interests, and learning styles. Our teaching and learning programmes are carefully structured to respond to diverse needs.

By engaging with Scotch Global in our home school programs, your child will be well supported with a balance of collaborative and independent learning.

**Collaborative learning** is an online classroom experience like no other. Our classroom is richly interactive, offering your child the opportunity to practise critical skills in a safe and supportive environment. We challenge our learners to be capable communicators, socially confident and reflective by nature. Our classroom inspires each child to share their ideas, collaborate with their peers and bring their learning to life by contributing their unique experiences. All our students feel like they are part of a special and connected community where their opinions and ideas matter.

**Independent learning** has a deliberate focus on understanding content so your child can think, research, practise and learn, free from classroom distractions. Each weekly module of learning includes critical support that has been developed by your child’s class teacher to meet their needs. Learning has never felt so supported and inclusive. This unique feature of the programme allows the student and teacher to work together, meaning your child’s personal and academic needs are always taken care of.

Students who meet the Department of Education criteria (Standard 14) for learning online are invited to enrol in Scotch Global Connect.

Students who meet the Department of Education criteria (Standard 14) for learning online are invited to enrol. If you are:

- geographically isolated.
- temporarily living or travelling interstate or overseas.
- participating in elite performance in sport or the arts; or
- unable to attend at a school due to:
    - (i) diagnosed physical or mental illness or disability.
    - (ii) bail conditions; or
    - (iii) another special circumstance acceptable to the Director General.

If your child does not meet the needs for learning online as described above in Standard 14, they can be enrolled as a home school student through the Department of Education and Scotch Global will provide the evidence required to meet home schooling guidelines.
