There are some specific requirements and funding for students who will be undertaking the Western Australian curriculum remotely.

## Requirements and funding

There are some specific requirements and funding for students who will be undertaking the Western Australian curriculum remotely.

Students who meet the Department of Education criteria (Standard 14) for learning online are invited to enrol in Scotch Global Connect.

**Standard 14**

- geographically isolated.
- temporarily living or travelling interstate or overseas.
- participating in elite performance in sport or the arts; or
- unable to attend at a school due to:
    - (i) diagnosed physical or mental illness or disability.
    - (ii) bail conditions; or
    - (iii) another special circumstance acceptable to the Director General.

If your child does not meet the needs for learning online as described above in [Standard 14](https://www.education.wa.edu.au/standards), they can be enrolled as a home school student through the Department of Education and Scotch Global will provide the evidence required to meet home schooling guidelines.
