Cara shares her commitment to the Scotch Global community below. ## Dear Scotch Global families, It is with great pleasure that I extend a heartfelt welcome to you all. Scotch Global is a proud branch of Scotch College, Swanbourne Western Australia and represents a natural progression of our 126 years of excellence serving day, rural and isolated students and families from across our state, interstate and overseas. With our heart in community, enriched by innovation, Scotch Global is strategically positioned and ready to provide education for our future. Scotch Global offers inclusive education for students of all genders aged 12 to 25 who require a different approach to learning. In 2024, we will begin our journey with a student focused, personally connected and inclusive model of teaching. Our commitment to excellence is part of our tradition, and we strive to reach students and families that lack access to conventional schools or who don’t fit the typical learning mould. Our broad range of opportunities support our students to strengthen their pathway options, but most importantly, reach their full potential as young people. At Scotch Global, we deeply appreciate that everyone’s educational journey is unique. Our commitment is to meet you where you are. Understanding your diverse needs and aspirations when it comes to education is so important to us. Our journey began by listening to people from diverse backgrounds and sharing the shortfalls in traditional education from their perspective. We embarked on a mission to design a new model of learning that not only fulfils these needs but champions equity, accessibility, and bright prospects for our youth. Our long-standing Headmaster of Scotch College, Dr Alec O’Connell, has often said that school is not the end of the journey; it's just the beginning. Scotch Global is our way of providing the best possible start for more students, enabling them to smoothly transition from school to further education and eventually into the workplace. Dr O’Connell describes school as a place where students need to discover their passion and establish their values within a caring and supportive environment. This is at the core of what Scotch College has always done and now we can offer that same experience further afield by embracing technology and flexibility. Connection will bring high-quality teaching and learning into the lives of our community, via an experience that will shape our students’ future.
